Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-discipline coordination for transit and multimodal projects. You will manage federated models, ensure model integrity, and enforce BIM standards across offices.

This role requires hands-on expertise with Autodesk and Bentley tools, plus the ability to mentor staff and coordinate with clients and agencies. Based in any US CDM Smith office, travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP to deliver a single federated model.
• Runs clash detection and leads resolution across disciplines using Navisworks.
• Establishes and enforces CADD/BIM standards and workflows across offices.
• Mentors production staff and provides design sketches for finishing drawings.
• Interfaces with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements.
