Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a skilled Sr. CAD Technician to support municipal infrastructure design and development.

You will create precise 2D/3D drawings of water/wastewater systems, site utilities, and related facilities, collaborating with engineers and project managers to ensure accurate, timely project delivery. Responsibilities include drafting, modeling, QC, document management, and field data support.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar 3D modeling and drafting software.
• 5+ years experience with municipal infrastructure projects (water/wastewater, site utilities, structural layouts).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality drawings.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Associate's degree preferred but not required; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Sponsorship not available now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Drafting & Modeling: Create, update, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar design software.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and project managers to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate design documents.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all drawings and models comply with industry standards, municipal specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Documentation & File Management: Maintain organized project files, revise drawings as needed, and assist in preparing documentation packages for client and regulatory approvals.
• Technical Support: Assist with data collection, field measurements, and design modifications to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with new drafting technologies, software updates, and industry best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
