Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a Sr. CAD/GIS Technician to support the design and development of municipal infrastructure projects. You will create 2D/3D drawings and models of water/wastewater systems, site utilities, and structures, collaborating with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

This hybrid role is based in Fort Myers, FL. We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a suite of benefits including medical/dental, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) match,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience on municipal infrastructure projects such as water/wastewater and site utilities.
• Ability to produce high-quality, detailed drawings and 3D models.
• Proficient in Revit or AutoCAD Plant 3D; strong spatial reasoning and documentation skills.
• Associates degree preferred but not required; equivalent work experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Drafting & Modeling: Create, update, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar design software.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and project managers to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate design documents.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all drawings and models comply with industry standards, municipal specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Documentation & File Management: Maintain organized project files, revise drawings as needed, and assist in preparing documentation packages for client and regulatory approvals.
• Technical Support: Assist with data collection, field measurements, and design modifications to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with new drafting technologies, software updates, and industry best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
