Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Senior CAD Drafter Lead to spearhead complex multi‑system design using Creo and Windchill across mechanical, fluid, and electrical disciplines. You will lead, mentor, and drive CAD/PLM standards while advancing Model‑Based Definition initiatives for ground support equipment supporting New Glenn launch operations and related facilities.

Qualifications

• 2-year AS degree with 10+ years of experience or 4-year BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering with 8+ years in a technical design role.
• Advanced technical expertise with PTC Creo Parametric and Windchill PLM.
• Experience leading CAD teams and managing enterprise‑level large assemblies.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, and Y14.41 GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design leadership and act as senior design authority for complex multi‑system tasks.
• Define and implement MBD strategy and CAD/PLM standards.
• Lead mechanical/structural, fluid, and electrical design using Creo extensions.
• Mentor drafters and coordinate daily team activities.
• Approve ECRs and manage Windchill release and revision workflows.
