Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Senior CAD Drafter to translate engineering designs into detailed 3D models and drawings for spacecraft structures at Space Coast, FL. You will create and maintain detailed drawings, assembly drawings, and installation drawings in line with GD&T standards, supporting engineering changes and ICD development.

The role requires strong attention to detail, experience with metallic/composite structures, and the ability to collaborate with engineering and quality

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience creating detailed drawings and models for aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures.
• Proficiency with Creo (Pro/E) and Windchill 10.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and application (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience creating detail part drawings, assembly drawings, and installation drawings for metallic and/or composite structures.
• Familiarity with fastener callouts, weld symbols, and standard hardware representation.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering designs and sketches into detailed 3D models, drawings, and assemblies using Creo/Windchill.
• Create and maintain detail part drawings, assembly drawings, and installation drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
• Develop and update ICDs under direction of design engineers.
• Support engineering change requests by updating drawings and documentation.
