Job summary

Blue Origin is hiring an experienced detail drawings engineer to translate sketches into 3D models and precise drawings for aerospace structures. You will maintain CAD data in Windchill, develop ICDs, and support design changes. Strong GD&T knowledge and ASME Y14.5 compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years creating detailed drawings and models for aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures.
• Proficiency with Creo and Windchill 10.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with metallic/composite structures and fastener callouts.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering designs and sketches into 3D models, drawings, and assemblies using Creo/Windchill.
• Create and maintain detail, assembly, and installation drawings per ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Develop interface control documents (ICDs) and support ECR/ECO changes.
• Maintain CAD configuration control and collaborate across teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Support first article inspection and ensure drawings meet standards and customer requirements.
