Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking a Senior CAD Designer to join our Buildings, Energy and Infrastructure (BEI) Group in our Atlanta office.

You will work onadvanced CAD drawings for renewable energy systems across large-scale commercial to utility projects within an interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in CAD design with AutoCAD and/or Revit experience, and familiarity with DER, NEC/NESC/IEEE standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of CAD design experience.
• Exposure to DER CAD drawings.
• Familiar with NEC, NESC and IEEE codes is welcome.
• Able to communicate with project management and design teams.
• Must be precise and methodical with attention to checklists.
• Interest in engineering career development will be supported.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical CAD design services for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecom systems as part of a multi-discipline team.
• Produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial and industrial facilities.
• Complete design tasks within budget and schedule and coordinate with the Project Manager and senior engineers.
