Job summary

McKim & Creed is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to lead technical and design services for renewable distributed energy resources within the BEI Group. You will collaborate with mechanical, structural, survey, and civil disciplines on projects from commercial to utility-scale.

Responsibilities include overseeing designs for steady-state and dynamic analyses, and guiding teams through interconnection work for DER projects up to large scales. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in electrical power systems.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Experience with steady-state and dynamic power analyses (ETAP and potentially OpenDSS, PSCAD, and PSS/E).
• Strong communication and ability to work on a project team.
• Flexible to vary project demands and maintain precision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee designs and drawings, including steady-state and dynamic power analyses.
• Provide leadership in technical and design services for renewable DER projects from commercial to utility-scale.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary cross-engineering teams (mechanical, structural, survey, civil).
• Lead projects connecting distribution and transmission for utility-scale DER up to 1000 MW-ac / 2000 MWh-dc.
