Job summary

McKim & Creed seeks a Senior Designer for its Buildings, Energy and Infrastructure (BEI) Group in Atlanta, at the Peachtree Corners office. The role focuses on advanced CAD drawings for renewable energy systems across commercial and utility-scale projects within an interdisciplinary team.

6+ years CAD experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and exposure to DER and relevant codes will help drive design tasks and collaboration with mechanical, structural, survey and civil disciplines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in CAD design.
• Exposure to CAD drawings for distributed energy resources (DER).
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is required.
• Familiarity with NEC, NESC and IEEE codes is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team yet communicate clearly when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and design services for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and telecom systems in multi-discipline projects.
• Complete design tasks within budget and schedule, and coordinate with Project Manager and engineers.
