Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Designer to focus on electrical design within our Renewable Energy group. The successful candidate will create construction documents and details using AutoCAD and Revit to support project teams.

Requirements include a 4-year degree or 2-year degree with on-the-job experience, knowledge of NEC and related codes, and strong collaboration skills for a fast-paced environment. Missouri-based project opportunities available.

Qualifications

• 4-year bachelor’s degree or 2-year associate’s degree with minimum 2 years on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

• Create site specific, electrical details, drawings and supporting documents using AutoCAD and Revit
• Produce/modify cable schedule documents using Excel
• Produce cable and equipment labels
• Ensure proper dimensions of layout of equipment, devices, and raceways through careful reading of specs or construction and engineering plans
• Communicate technical aspects of a project with other disciplines in the department
• Read and interpret construction drawings and documents
• Support the broader team in evaluation of new technologies to increase design efficiency
• Produce internal reference documents and standards guidelines working with a team
