Navarro Research and Engineering in Los Alamos, NM seeks an Engineering Technologist 3 to join the W93 Systems Development and Realization group as a design checker. The role focuses on 3D CAD, GD&T, MBD, and design verification to ensure form, fit, and function of complex weapon-system components.

You may mentor junior staff, support design iterations, and participate in reviews across cross-functional teams, collaborating with DoD/NNSA partners while adhering to ASME Y14 standards and MBD

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field with 8 years of directly related experience.
• Strong knowledge of Creo CAD, GD&T, and MBD practices.
• Experience checking Creo models/drawings for form, fit, and function and MBd.
• Familiar with ASME Y14 standards, especially Y14.5-2009 and Y14.41 MBD.
• Ability to mentor staff and guide design iterations.

Responsabilidades

• Check design definitions and ensure form, fit, and function of Creo models.
• Guide teams through design iterations to address defects.
• Mentor junior staff on MBD and GD&T practices.
• Lead reviews for design, manufacture, assembly and tests.
• Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
