CesiumAstro is seeking a Principal CAD Designer to lead advanced CAD design for satellites and aerospace systems. You will develop, modify, and maintain detailed 3D models, drawings, and documentation while ensuring accuracy and configuration control.

The role requires SolidWorks mastery, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex design data in a fast-paced environment; collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive CAD design and drafting experience.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks for part modeling and drawings.
• Strong GD&T and engineering documentation practices.
• Experience with BOMs and engineering change control.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced CAD drafting and design support across development lifecycle.
• Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GD&T and company standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and QA teams.
