Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking a CAD Designer II or III to translate engineering sketches into precise 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks, Revit, and Inventor. The role supports design, fabrication, and documentation of project components.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in design drafting using CAD and 3D modeling software.
• Follow established drafting procedures and industry standards (ASME Y14 series, ISO) and best practices for drawings and models.
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches, redlines, BOMs to produce accurate drawings and 3D models.
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Revit, Inventor) and GD&T compliance.

Responsibilities

• Interprets engineering sketches, specs, redlines, calculations to translate concepts into detailed 2D/3D drawings and models.
• Applies CAD tools and drafting principles to create precise representations of components and systems.
• Ensures drawings convey necessary information for manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly with accurate dimensions, materials, GD&T, annotations, and section views.
• Reviews drawings/models for completeness and compliance with standards before submission or release.
