Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking a CAD Supervisor to oversee the preparation, development, and management of CAD drawings and technical documentation.

You will supervise CAD technicians, drafters, and designers to ensure accuracy, schedule adherence, and compliance with project specifications. The role requires hands-on CAD design and 3D modeling, with leadership responsibilities across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years technical training, or equivalent experience.
• BA degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• At least 6 years CAD design experience with 3D modeling.

Responsibilities

• Assign, prioritize and monitor CAD work across the team while balancing workloads, project deadlines, technical complexity, and employee capability.
• Perform hands-on CAD design, drafting, drawing review, and 3D modeling.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and training to CAD Designers, Operators, Checkers and other assigned personnel.
• Lead/support assigned projects by coordinating with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Program teams to resolve design, documentation, schedule and resource issues.
• Ensure drawings, models, BOMs and related documentation meet established drafting standards, revision-control requirements, quality expectations and manufacturability before release.
