Commonwealth Fusion Systems LLC invites applications for a Senior CAD Application Engineer to develop tools and workflows leveraging NX CAD data to support development, analysis, and control systems. Strong mechanical design and software development experience are required.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter PLM, and Python scripting, with a track record in automated data extraction and CAD standard compliance.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM related field
• 10+ years of industry experience
• Five years as a design engineer of mechanical/electro-mechanical/thermal-mechanical systems
• Proven ability to extract key data via software automations for NX and TC
• GD&T per ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5
• Ten+ years with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving methods
• Programming in Python, NXOpen API, Linux, Git and Computational Geometry

Responsabilidades

• Deliver complete mechanical designs including tolerance stacks and assembly procedures
• Develop CAD design/workflows converting NX models for engineering teams and control systems
• Create software automation tools to interact with NX data from Python
• Integrate NX model parameters, coordinate systems, and geometry into scientific tooling
• Use NXOpen API for coordinate transformations and single source of truth access
• Adhere to ASME Y14.100 and Y14.5 standards in CAD design/docs
• Be part of CAD Team within a matrix organization
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of scientists and engineers
