Job summary

Astronics AES in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to join the Cabin Power Electronics Team. You will support engineers with electronic systems, build, repair and troubleshoot prototypes down to the component level, and document test activities for FAA and customer reporting.

The role requires hands-on experience with test setups, signal integrity, and DO-160 / MIL-STD-461 where applicable, plus strong collaboration with engineers and technicians to drive design

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related field, or equivalent electronics military schooling and experience.
• 4–6 years of direct hands-on electronics assembly, test, and troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems and experimental design circuitry.
• Soldering, cable builds, and basic machining to support prototype builds and test fixtures.
• Plan and execute testing from concepts and diagrams to troubleshooting and validation.
• Design, construct, test, verify, and troubleshoot custom test fixtures and equipment.
