Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking a Cabin Design Engineer to evolve aircraft cabin and cargo interiors. You will work under general direction to perform engineering design, analysis, and data integration from concept to installation.

The role focuses on evaluating supplier 3D/2D design solutions, PN/BOM steering within PLM, and troubleshooting FAL issues, with emphasis on collaboration across teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 6 years of experience in design, analysis, and systems/structural integration of cabin interiors, monuments, furnishings, or payload installation projects.
• Demonstrated experience handling configuration management, engineering change tracking, or part structures within an aerospace Design Office environment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Ability to understand and mentor principles within assigned discipline.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical aircraft topics.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Working knowledge of cabin interior product development.

Responsibilities

• Design Integration & Maturation: autonomously perform routine to moderate design solution development, layout maturation, and spatial integration using 3D modeling software.
• Configuration & Part Number Steering: manage PN/BOM within PLM tools to ensure correct technical effectivity and configuration tracking across variants.
• Compliance & Certification Review: review and secure engineering compliance documents from suppliers for airworthiness approval.
• FAL & Manufacturing Support: provide real-time engineering support and troubleshoot issues on the shop floor and Final Assembly Line.
