Job summary

Ziehm Imaging - Orthoscan Inc. in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop C++ applications for medical devices on a Linux platform. You will build a modern Qt-based GUI with a focus on safety-critical software development and regulatory compliance (IEC 62304/ISO 13485).

You will collaborate across engineering, regulatory, and production teams to ensure traceability, code quality, and robust deployment. Strong C++17/20 skills and Linux experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field is required or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in regulated or safety-critical environments.
• Strong proficiency in developing C++ applications (modern C++17/20).
• Experience with Linux, QT/QML, and embedded GUI development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, verify, and validate software for Linux-based medical device systems in IEC 62304 environments.
• Create touchscreen GUI software using Qt/QML with performance and usability focus.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure traceability and compliance.
• Conduct code reviews, unit tests, and support system integration testing.
