Ziehm Imaging - Orthoscan Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ to lead electronic system design and development for medical devices. The role covers schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, and verification through production.

You will work with cross-functional teams across R&D, QA/RA, and manufacturing to ensure high-quality documentation and regulatory readiness. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in embedded software, high‑voltage analog/digital design,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in medical devices.
• Experience with regulatory standards including IEC60601-1 4th edition.
• Proficiency with Altium and PCB layout.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic systems including schematic capture, PCB layout, and prototyping.
• Embedded software & firmware development to support device functionality.
• Prototype construction and testing to validate design performance under IEC60601-1.
• Product verification and validation per medical device standards for production readiness.
• Documentation and compliance with ISO13485 and internal quality systems.
• Collaborate with R&D, QA/RA, and manufacturing to support product development.
• Lead engineering processes and promote best practices throughout the lifecycle.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage prototype schedules to meet timelines.
