Job summary

biBerk is seeking an experienced software developer to join our hybrid team for building a cloud-first, API-driven insurance platform. The role requires onsite Pittston, PA presence at least every other month, with travel to Omaha, NE as needed.

You will contribute across development, testing, and design, delivering features on a cross-functional agile team. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in software development, strong C#/.NET skills, and experience with RESTful APIs and cloud services like

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science/related field or equivalent working experience.
• 5 to 10 years of experience as a software developer, primarily using C#.
• Excellent programming, debugging, and troubleshooting skills with C# and .NET.
• 3+ years of experience contributing in a senior technical role.
• Enterprise level system architecture experience, designing and delivering RESTful APIs, integrations, and complex business processes.
• Experience with cloud services including serverless, data storage, messaging, logging, preferably with Azure.
• Experience with monolithic and microservice architectures.
• Experience implementing reliable and performant data storage solutions and schemas using cloud tech (SQL DBs, Document DBs, unstructured data).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IAC).
• Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.
• Experience working on large software projects across multiple agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as a senior technical resource on a cross-functional agile team.
• Build domain expertise within the platform.
• Implement features to meet business objectives within the enterprise ecosystem.
• Collaborate with Product to align requirements with goals.
• Create technical documentation and ensure knowledge transfer.
• Deliver code contributions aligned with user stories and sprints.
• Satisfy unit tests and coordinate with QA for regression testing.
• Ensure performance goals and a security-minded approach.
• Occasional travel for strategy meetings in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area.
• Work hours aligned with Eastern Time.
