Job summary

The Symicor Group is seeking a C&I Middle Market Lender to service a Boston, MA market. The role involves developing and managing commercial loan accounts, analyzing creditworthiness, and guiding loans through approval and closing. Not a remote position.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in banking/finance and seven+ years of direct lending or credit-support experience, with a track record of $12MM–$15MM annual C&I loan production and strong regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in banking, finance, or related field.
• Seven or more years of direct lending or credit support experience.
• Proven background in generating C&I loans of $12MM–$15MM annually.
• Credit-trained and/or underwriting knowledge preferred.
• Experience analyzing financial statements.
• Familiarity with sales, loan processing, and closing processes.
• Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and C&I loans.
• Knowledge of Federal and State regulations covering commercial banking.
• Ability to expand loans, client relationships, and cross-sell bank products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Efficient use of Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing and managing commercial loan accounts that meet established lending requirements and provide maximum profitability to the Bank at minimum risk.
• Collecting and analyzing information that reflects the current creditworthiness of customers and the current merits of existing loans.
• Reviews and analyzes title report or survey to determine issues and any present or potential risk.
• Analyzing applicant financial status, credit and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan or submits application to credit analyst for verification and recommendation.
• Meeting with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.
• Guiding loans through the approval and closing process.
• Explaining, promoting, cross-selling or referring bank, insurance and trust products or services.
