Applied Intuition, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for the Drone Stack to design and integrate autonomy and vehicle intelligence systems across hardware and software domains.

You will deploy autonomy algorithms in SIL, HIL, and live tests, interfacing with sensors, datalinks, and autopilots while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong C++ skills and interest in drones are required; candidates should enjoy hands-on integration, customer demonstrations, and frequent on-site

Competenze

• BS or MS in Robotics, Computer Science or related engineering field.
• 5-10 years of hands-on experience with robotic systems (hardware, software, integration).
• Experience with software programming languages: C++ preferred.
• Experience integrating autonomy/robotics with Pixhawk autopilots (ArduPilot and/or PX4).
• Experience with comms buses & protocols: UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI/QSPI, I2C, Ethernet.
• Experience developing in Docker and Linux-based OS (RHEL, Ubuntu).
• Experience using Git, VS Code, GitLab.
• Familiarity with SIL/HIL and safety-critical systems.

Mansioni

• Adapt and develop modular autonomy capabilities across defense problems.
• Integrate and deploy autonomy solutions onto embedded Linux and hardware platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex integration and software issues for high reliability.
• Integrate autonomy software with hardware to support autopilots, datalinks, sensors, GPS/INS, ground control stations.
• Support live flight test of autonomy software on UAVs (group 1-5).
• Collaborate with 3rd party UAV vendors to integrate autonomy software onto OEM hardware.
• Conduct system-level setup, testing, and validation (SIL/HIL).
• Collaborate to implement service-oriented-architecture software and inter-process messaging for autonomous UASs.
