Job summary

Framatome North America is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the NDE solutions team. You will work with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to design and implement control systems for robotic inspections in nuclear facilities.

The role involves developing software across Linux and Windows, using MFC/.NET, and delivering reliable solutions for challenging environments. You will contribute to the full software lifecycle, qualify tooling, and provide hands-on support for

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
Minimum 10 years of related experience.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols and deployment across environments.
Experience with C++ and/or C#; Linux and Windows development.
Experience with MFC and/or .NET.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with all levels.

Responsibilities

Work on a multi-disciplinary engineering team that includes mechanical, electrical and software engineers.
Create first-of-a-kind solutions to meet customer needs.
Support design of systems that must operate in challenging environments while meeting rigid quality requirements.
Perform software development for various control systems.
Participate in all stages of the software development life cycle.
Support tooling qualification and acceptance testing.
Provide technical support for newly deployed robotic systems.
Periodically travel to customer sites to see your designs put into action.
