Framatome North America in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Software Engineer for Nondestructive Examinations (NDE) Solutions. You will join a multidisciplinary team to design and implement software for robotic inspection systems used in nuclear plants.

This role emphasizes real-world problem solving, collaboration across mechanical, electrical and software disciplines, and occasional travel to customer sites to validate deployments and support fielded systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Familiarity with network protocols and deployment across environments.
• Experience with C++ and/or C#.
• Experience with Linux and Windows development.
• Experience with MFC and/or .NET.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Create first-of-a-kind solutions to meet customer needs.
• Support design of systems in challenging environments with quality requirements.
• Perform software development for control systems.
• Participate in the software development life cycle.
• Support tooling qualification and acceptance testing.
• Provide technical support for deployed robotic systems.
• Periodically travel to customer sites to observe designs in action.
