Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Buyer to manage day-to-day tactical purchasing for construction and facilities projects, driving supplier communications, pricing, and quality. You will lead procurement negotiations, develop strategic agreements, and ensure timely delivery of materials to support space programs.

The role requires a deep understanding of FAR/DFARS, contract types, and supplier performance, with a track record of effective collaboration in large, complex programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Management, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; minimum 10 years of tactical procurement/supply chain experience.
• Master's degree in Business Administration / Management, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; minimum 7 years of tactical procurement / supply chain experience.
• Interprets and applies company policies, FAR/DFARS, SOX compliance, and government regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFx (RFP/RFQ) processes and price analyses for supplier proposals.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts (FAR/customer flowdowns, schedule, scope of work).
• Own the procurement process from requisition through final payment of invoices.
