Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to own our supply chain performance for commercial programs. You will lead a team of professional buyers, drive strategic sourcing, and manage firm-fixed-price contracts and LTAs.

You will craft procurement policies and monitor supplier capacity, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. This role requires leadership, aerospace experience, and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, SCM, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in procurement, supply chain, or related discipline in aerospace/advanced manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years directly managing procurement teams.
• Experience with complex BOMs and FFP/LTA contracts.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for supplier engagement.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Own program-level supply chain performance for the organization’s commercial programs, including schedule, cost, and EAC.
• Direct and develop a team of Supply Chain Buyers with hiring and performance management.
• Lead strategic sourcing and negotiation of FFP contracts and LTAs.
• Develop procurement policies and digital tools for accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze supplier data and drive improvement in build-to-print and build-to-spec environments.
• Manage supplier capacity planning and production ramp across the supply base.
• Lead industrialization and readiness activities with manufacturing and QA teams.
• Govern TRL/MRL readiness and roadmap gaps ahead of production.
• Integrate supplier plans into the master schedule and drive recovery actions.
• Resolve supplier and material challenges and escalate to leadership as needed.
• Communicate program status, risks, and opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
