Pro Staff in Ogden, Utah is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead procurement of materials and services for manufacturing operations. You will develop supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality items.

The role collaborates with production, engineering, and quality teams, manages inventory, and mentors junior staff while pursuing continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 7–10 years of procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with global sourcing and international trade regulations.

Responsibilities

• Work with Purchasing Leadership to implement procurement strategies.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet specs.
• Manage inventory levels to optimize stock and reduce excess.
• Prepare procurement reports and analysis for senior management.
• Mentor and train junior procurement staff.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices.
