Job summary

HUXWRX Safety Co. in Millcreek, UT is seeking a Senior Buyer to convert demand signals into executable purchasing plans. You will work across Sales Operations, Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to manage metal components from demand planning through delivery.

The role emphasizes supplier negotiation, inventory health, and proactive risk mitigation, aligning with the VP of Supply Chain to drive cost and lead-time improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 7–10+ years in purchasing or supply chain within manufacturing.
• Experience with machined/fabricated metal components is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate demand, forecasts, and production needs into actionable purchasing plans.
• Collaborate with Sales Operations, Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality.
• Manage purchases from demand through delivery with visibility on quantities and timing.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, order quantities, and terms with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and address delivery or quality issues.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data in the ERP system and keep inventory healthy.
• Identify shortages and mitigate supply risks with proactive recovery plans.
• Support supplier development and participate in cross-functional planning processes.
