Job summary

Better Being Co. is seeking a Buyer - Supply Chain in Ogden, UT. This role coordinates procurement for contract manufacturing, finished goods, services, and indirect spend, while managing supplier relationships to meet cost, quality, service, and inventory objectives.

The incumbent will handle purchase orders, bid requests, and contract negotiations within budget. Collaboration with manufacturing, finance, marketing, and other departments drives procurement success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, contract manufacturing, or related field.
• Experience with MRP, ERP, or other inventory and procurement management systems.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of procurement, sourcing, supplier management, inventory planning, and purchasing processes.
• Negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business systems for reporting and procurement activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement activities for contract manufacturing, finished goods, services, and indirect spend.
• Manage inventory and production planning for finished goods.
• Prepare purchase orders and bid requests; review proposals and negotiate contracts.
• Maintain supplier relationships and source production services as needed.
• Monitor supplier performance and coordinate corrective actions.
• Provide expenditure projections and maintain procurement records.
