Job summary

Gradian is an engineering-led thermal solutions provider based in Minnesota. We seek a Buyer/Senior Buyer-Planner to ensure material availability, manage supplier relationships, and lead procurement for key commodities.

You will partner with Sourcing, Engineering, and Production to optimize inventory and on-time deliveries. The role requires 3–8+ years in manufacturing procurement, strong ERP/MRP skills, and advanced Excel capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 3–5 years in purchasing, materials planning, production planning, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of MRP, inventory, lead times, and supplier management.
• Experience working with ERP systems in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Senior Buyer Planner level experience (5–8+ years) with advanced MRP/forecasting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Issue, manage, and maintain purchase orders to approved suppliers.
• Establish and communicate supplier delivery requirements and due dates.
• Develop and maintain material requirements plans based on production schedules and forecasts.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements in delivery, quality, and reliability.
• Resolve shortages and lead-time risks to minimize production disruptions.
• Own planning and procurement for assigned commodities and materials.
• Maintain ERP data integrity and ensure accurate transactions.
• Support forecasting, capacity planning, and long-term material planning.
• Analyze demand and inventory trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop KPIs related to inventory and supplier performance.
