Job summary

Valar Atomics in the United States is seeking a Senior Buyer to drive procurement for our reactor construction and fuel fabrication programs. You will partner with engineering, operations, and project teams to align suppliers, contracts, and material deliveries with aggressive milestones.

The role requires deep procurement expertise, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to own complex sourcing from strategy to execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in Supply Chain/related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in procurement, supply chain, or expediting in industrial/construction.
• Experience with PO processing, vendor management, and logistics coordination.
• Experience expediting long-lead and critical-path equipment deliveries.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement software; strong Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Own the procurement of process and power plant equipment and construction materials from purchase order to delivery.
• Process POs and requisitions, maintain procurement databases and tracking systems.
• Expedite long-lead equipment deliveries and mitigate delivery risks.
• Coordinate with vendors to monitor schedules, commitments, and issue resolution.
• Support supplier selection, bid evaluations, and vendor qualification.
• Coordinate shipping, logistics, incoterms, and international freight with project teams.
• Escalate procurement risks and contract decisions to leadership with clear options.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with 10 CFR 830 and import/export regulations.
