Valar Atomics Inc. is seeking a senior purchasing leader in the United States to build and scale a high‑performing team across direct and indirect spend. You will drive on‑time, on‑quality procurement and establish scalable policies in a highly regulated environment.

You will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Sourcing to align purchasing with program milestones, while developing talent and KPIs for sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Operations.
• 8+ years in purchasing or supply chain with 3+ years leading a purchasing team.
• Experience managing direct and indirect spend.
• Hands‑on experience in an ERP/MRP‑driven environment.
• Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment with strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high‑impact purchasing team across direct and indirect spend.
• Drive on‑time, on‑quality, on‑cost PO placement and delivery.
• Develop and enforce scalable purchasing policies, processes and controls.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Sourcing to align purchasing with priorities.
• Manage and develop Buyers and Senior Buyers, setting priorities and performance goals.
• Own team KPIs and drive corrective actions; resolve supplier issues and risks.
• Standardize and improve purchasing processes and records to stay audit‑ready.
