Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a Senior Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist to lead procurement and supply chain operations for reactor construction and fuel fabrication programs. You will partner with engineering, operations, and project teams to align suppliers, contracts, and materials with aggressive milestones.

The role requires deep procurement expertise, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to own complex sourcing initiatives from strategy through execution in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years procurement, supply chain, or expediting, including industrial or construction procurement.
• PO processing, vendor management, and logistics coordination.
• Experience expediting long-lead equipment deliveries.
• Proficiency with ERP, procurement software, and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication for vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Own procurement of process and power plant equipment from PO to delivery.
• Manage POs and requisitions; maintain procurement databases.
• Track long-lead equipment and expedite deliveries.
• Communicate with vendors to monitor schedules and resolve issues.
• Support supplier selection and bid evaluations with Procurement Engineering.
• Coordinate shipping, logistics, and delivery with project teams and construction managers.
• Escalate supply chain risks and decisions to leadership with options and recommendations.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with 10 CFR 830 and applicable regulations.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier performance data, and delivery metrics.
• Interface with project managers on material requirements and delivery forecasts.
