Job summary

Paleovalley is hiring a Senior Buyer to own the Mesa manufacturing operation’s purchasing, inventory, and supplier management. You will coordinate with Production, Quality and Food Safety, and Planning to ensure timely, quality, and cost-effective materials for production as we scale.

Responsibilities include sourcing, negotiating, PO management in Acumatica, and maintaining accurate inventory. You will drive continuous improvement in purchasing workflows and KPI tracking.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive purchasing in manufacturing.
• Supplier relationship management and pricing negotiation skills.
• Inventory planning and control knowledge (demand, lead times, cycle counts).
• Experience with PO management in ERP/WMS systems; Acumatica and Logiwa preferred.
• SQF/HACCP or comparable food safety knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven focus.
• Clear, proactive communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage moderately complex purchasing independently.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end purchasing for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging.
• Build and manage supplier relationships and ongoing performance.
• Negotiate pricing and terms; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Create and manage POs in Acumatica; ensure accurate pricing and lead times.
• Monitor demand and inventory to prevent shortages and minimize excess.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain on priorities.
• Resolve supply disruptions and supplier issues with root-cause analysis.
• Own inventory control activities including cycle counts and adjustments.
• Track KPIs like on-time delivery, lead times, and variance.
• Ensure materials meet SQF/HACCP and supplier approval requirements.
