Jobot is recruiting a Senior Buyer in Irvine, CA for a Life Sciences focused organization. You will lead strategic sourcing and supplier management, ensuring timely procurement of direct and indirect materials while upholding quality and regulatory objectives.

You must have NetSuite ERP experience and 5+ years in regulated manufacturing. The role requires strong negotiation and data analysis skills, with Excel proficiency and cross-functional collaboration to support production and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing/buying experience within Life Sciences or related regulated industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Advanced NetSuite ERP experience is required.
• Strong negotiation and contract management experience.
• Experience in FDA-regulated or GMP environments is preferred.
• Ability to analyze inventory, forecasts, and purchasing data.
• Proficiency with Excel and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for direct and indirect materials, equipment, and services.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to improve cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance.
• Create and manage purchase orders, supplier contracts, and procurement docs in NetSuite.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and service agreements with suppliers.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, and Finance.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Analyze spending trends and supplier performance for cost saving opportunities.
• Support new product introductions and supplier qualification activities.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, ISO 13485 and other regs.
• Resolve supplier quality and material shortage issues with minimum impact.
