Job summary

10x Genomics is seeking a Sr Buyer to support our US global Procurement team. This temporary contract up to 6 months focuses on purchasing NPI preproduction indirect and direct production instruments and consumable raw materials, and managing supplier relationships.

You will issue POs, maintain ERP data fields, track PO statuses, reconcile invoices, and lead or support RFQ/RFP projects while collaborating with internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• 6+ years of procurement, sourcing, or relevant supply chain or operations experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Organized, detail-oriented and service-minded to internal customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide procurement support to the R&D team for purchasing and tracking components for development and launch of new instruments and consumables.
• Manage communication with preproduction and production raw material suppliers; primary contact for supplier communication and issue resolutions.
• Ensure timely issuing of purchase orders to support manufacturing needs.
• Maintain and set up purchasing and sourcing data fields for materials and suppliers in the ERP system.
• Monitor purchase order statuses and update/escrow if needed.
• Invoice reconciliation: assist accounting in reconciling discrepancies on invoices.
• Lead or support RFQ/RFP projects.
• Build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
