Job summary

The Senior Buyer will review negotiations, understand contractual terminology, and collaborate with AP/Finance/Project teams, striving to improve processes and control documentation across ThayerMahan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in subcontract management or similar with knowledge of PO/PSA negotiations.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and route Purchase Orders and Professional Service Agreements for internal review and external signatures.
• Provide ongoing PO support while managing 10+ requisition forms.
• Communicate with AP/Finance/Project teams on statuses, questions, and quote information.
• Engage in short- and long-term planning and budget development to support goals.
• Negotiate favorable terms with sellers and coordinate with General Counsel.
