Job summary

Sulzer in Santa Ana is seeking a Senior Buyer to plan, develop and execute global commodity strategies under the Supply Chain Manager. You will manage supplier performance, negotiate pricing and build supplier relations to drive continuous improvement in the supply chain.

Responsibilities include leading LTAs, sourcing for quality, delivery and cost, maintaining ERP lead times, and promoting lean principles across the supply base. Strong negotiation, communication and analytics are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in industrial manufacturing supply chain/procurement.
• Strong negotiating techniques and procurement ethics.
• Experience with US, China and global markets highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and execute commodity strategies on a global scale.
• Manage supplier performance and negotiate pricing and LTAs.
• Source for best quality, delivery and cost; drive lean supply base.
• Maintain lead times and delivery dates in ERP; resolve issues with suppliers.
