Job summary

Putzmeister America is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead procurement activities for materials, negotiate with suppliers, and optimize cost and delivery for operations. The role interfaces with operations, engineering, and finance globally.

Responsibilities include RFQ management, supplier performance tracking, and cross‑functional process improvements to support profitability and reliability. A strong background in manufacturing procurement and SAP is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in procurement or purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with global suppliers and teams.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings; fluent with the metric system.
• Advanced data analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Proficiency with SAP and MS Office; ERP experience.
• Excellent English communication; cross‑level collaboration.
• Valid passport and driver's license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing/commodity strategies aligned with goals and budgets.
• Lead material sourcing for Putzmeister America and support Brazil.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and service.
• Prepare and award RFQs with all requirements and terms.
• Negotiate contracts to secure favorable pricing and long‑term value.
• Monitor supplier performance with KPIs and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, finance, and logistics on demand forecasting and inventory.
• Travel approximately 15%.
