Job summary

Rocket EMS is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer in the United States (Nevada) to own supplier relationships and manage purchase orders to ensure material availability and cost control. You will collaborate with multiple internal teams to resolve shortages and negotiate favorable terms.

Responsibilities include expediting orders, maintaining planned inventory levels, and driving continuous cost-saving initiatives across electronics components and services, in a fast-paced contract manufacturing

Qualifications

Strong purchasing and supply chain knowledge in a manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to read and interpret supplier quotes, production schedules, and reports.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Review material buy lists and production schedules to set purchasing priorities.
Place, track, expedite, and reschedule purchase orders to support production.
Coordinate purchasing with Program Management, Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Finance.
Process requisitions, change orders, and RFQs from approved suppliers.
Gather quotations, review bids, and make purchasing recommendations or awards.
Monitor supplier performance on cost, quality, delivery, and reliability.
Resolve issues with receiving, supplier discrepancies, and AP/AR in a timely manner.
Address shortages and production-impacting issues with suppliers.
