recruitAbility is assisting a well-established Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider in New Jersey with a Senior Buyer role. You will manage end-to-end procurement, ensure materials meet production schedules, negotiate with suppliers, and partner with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and logistics to keep the line running on time.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in purchasing or supply chain within manufacturing, strong negotiation and ERP/MRP experience, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting electronics manufacturing (PCBA, PCB, or box build) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities to support production schedules and quality requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders based on MRP signals and forecasts.
• Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, quality, logistics, and program management to resolve material issues and prevent disruptions.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers; support supplier development initiatives as needed.
• Prepare and maintain purchasing reports, sharing key metrics with leaders.
• Stay current on market trends, supply risks, and industry developments to support sourcing strategy.

This Senior Buyer role plays a critical part in supporting production and supplier performance. The position works closely with manufacturing, engineering, program management, and quality to ensure materials are available, suppliers are performing, and production stays on track.
