Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead electronics procurement for a high-reliability manufacturing environment. You will own strategic sourcing for complex BOMs, manage POs, and partner with engineering and production to ensure on-time, cost-effective supply of electronic components.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in electrical sourcing, strong negotiation skills, and hands-on experience with MRP systems. Relocation assistance and a competitive package are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a buying role, specifically in electrical manufacturing.
• Experience purchasing electronic components is required.
• Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
• Strong knowledge of large, complex Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic sourcing and procurement of electronic components.
• Manage and maintain the BOM, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Create, review, and manage Purchase Orders.
• Forecast procurement needs and manage inventory levels using MRP systems.
• Negotiate contracts to ensure quality, cost, and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to align procurement with needs.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to inform buying decisions.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Seek opportunities to reduce costs and improve procurement processes.
