Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience required.
• Ability to understand military specifications and read blueprints.
• Knowledge of procurement laws and FAR/DFARS aplus.

Responsibilities

• Generate CPSR-compliant purchase orders from requisitions, RFPs, bids and related docs.
• Coordinate with Planning, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing.
• Assess supplier performance and risk; implement corrective sourcing actions.
• Monitor open orders and long-lead items; escalate shortages.
• Review POs for customer and prime-contract requirements incl. FAR/DFARS.
• Manage PO modifications with required approvals and documentation.
• Lead negotiations to obtain favorable terms and conditions.
• Maintain supplier relationships and resolve issues related to service terms.
• Track demand/spend data and report cost savings or avoidances.
• Maintain vendor agreements and procurement records.
