Job summary

Transamerica, a leading financial services company, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to facilitate requirement gathering and process modeling for IT solutions. The role supports cross-functional teams across IT and Operations in a hybrid work environment.

The candidate will analyze business needs, document requirements, and help design efficient processes within a complex insurance and retirement solutions landscape. Strong communication and project coordination skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience in IT or a business area.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis; 2–4 years of industry experience preferred.
Two years of experience managing technical projects in a complex environment.
Basic knowledge of insurance company operations.
Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Salesforce administration experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct business process analysis and needs assessments to align IT solutions with business initiatives.
Prepare “as is” and “current state” process documentation (flows) and models.
Lead development of new or revised business processes in lieu of system development.
Elicit business and systems requirements from stakeholders and translate into technical specs.
Analyze requests and communicate impacts to IT and Operations staff.
Document requirements in multiple formats and assist in test planning.
Support projects with test scenarios and quality checks on test plans/matrices.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture on data usage and reuse.
