Job summary

The Ohio Department of Children and Youth seeks a Business Process Analyst 2 to bridge business users and technical teams. You will gather and analyze complex processes, conduct requirements sessions, and produce documentation like process flows, use cases, and future-state designs.

As BPA2, you’ll mentor staff, apply advanced modeling, and coordinate across multiple teams while supporting change management. On-site work at 246 North High Street, Columbus, OH, 7 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule.

Qualifications

• 60 mos. combined work experience in creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.
• Or completion of associate core program in computer science, information systems, or business administration with 42 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.
• Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science, information systems, or business administration with 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.
• Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into clear, actionable technology requirements.
• Lead requirements-gathering sessions and create documentation such as process flows, use cases, and future-state designs.
• Validate requirements with stakeholders and support scenario-based testing.
• Mentor less experienced staff and guide cross-functional teams through changes.
