Job summary

The Ohio Department of Job & Family Services (ODJFS), Office of Information Services, seeks an experienced Business Analyst (BA5) with strong requirements analysis, stakeholder coordination, and process alignment for interface and file transfer modernization efforts.

Contract position with BA5 classification (10+ years of relevant experience). Remote work option with on-site meetings as needed; local Columbus candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience in middleware platforms.
• Knowledge of mainframe batch job structures, JCL, scheduling concepts.
• Experience with SFTP configuration and secure credential management.
• Strong interface design and data exchange knowledge.
• Excellent documentation and end-to-end migration tracking.
• Ability to interact with external vendors, business partners, and senior-level stakeholders.
• Experience with Visio, Azure, ALM Octane for document artifacts.
• Ability to create ICDs (Interface Control Documents).
• Understanding of DNS, ports, protocols and folder paths.
• Knowledge of file triggers and ACKs.

Responsibilities

• Partner outreach and coordination with third-party interface partners.
• Maintain inventory of interfaces, file transfers, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with mainframe JCL, Axway/middleware, and distributed engineers.
• Manage migration schedule and track delivery across teams.
• Oversee SFTP testing, authentication, and file delivery.
