Job summary

Moët Hennessy USA, Inc. seeks a Senior Business Development Manager for the New York market to set up the commercial and marketing roadmap for the Wine Portfolio in NY. The Sr BDM drives execution, delivering commercial KPIs and implementing brand initiatives in the NY market.

The role is based in a hybrid environment (3 days in the NYC office). Requires 7+ years in wine and spirits sales and marketing, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, strong analytical and leadership skills, and experience

  • 7+ years of professional experience in sales and marketing within wine and spirits.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience with distributor operations and route-to-market execution.
  • Hybrid work schedule and United States work authorization.

  • Lead local commercial & marketing programming to reach KPIs and support the brand plan.
  • Lead brand activations and annual planning in partnership with Brand leadership.
  • Own and manage market A&P; identify gaps and ROI of programs.

The Senior Business Development Manager – New York serves as the Business Manager responsible for setting up the commercial & marketing roadmap for the Wine Portfolio in the NY Market.

The Sr BDM is responsible for driving execution, delivering commercial KPIs and implementing brand initiatives in the NY market.

Office/Location: Hybrid 3x a week based out of NYC Office

Compensation: $130,000 -$163,000/ annually + bonus

Commercial and Marketing Programming & Distributor Engagement
  • Lead local commercial & marketing programming to reach KPIs supporting the overall brand plan
  • Lead brand activations & annual planning process in partnership with Brand & under the leadership of Sr. Director - Field Marketing, Wine
  • Own & manage market A&P: identify gaps and opportunities & determine ROI of programs
  • Track performance vs. KPIs and course-correct with distributors and MH teams
Customer Planning & Business Development
  • Act as the overlay sales leader, doing work with the MH Comm. Sales team & Distributors sales representatives.
  • Develop and lead strategic account plans for priority customers, defining objectives, investment levels, activation priorities and execution roadmaps. Partner closely with MH Commercial Sales, Distributor Teams, and key stakeholders to align and deliver programming against business objectives.
  • Prospect and unlock new distribution, menus, and displays in high-impact, competitive accounts
Brand Presentation & Education
  • Lead GSM Presentations
  • Deliver training to distributor teams and MHUSA Comm. Sales team
  • Host trade events & consumer events at key accounts
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience required
Professional Experience
  • 7+ years of professional experience in sales and marketing within wine and spirits
Practical/Technical Knowledge
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and business planning capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial and performance management capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of distributor operations and route-to-market execution
  • Strong sales experience (bev alcohol preferred, not required)
