Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Principal, Business Development to drive growth in Autonomous Undersea Vehicle Systems and submarine communications. You will manage relationships with DoD customers, shape opportunities, and lead capture efforts in the Camden, NJ or Washington DC area.

The role requires deep unmanned undersea vehicle expertise, Shipley methodology knowledge, and a track record of leading complex, strategic opportunities across Navy programs. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with extensive experience in business development.
• Graduate degree with extensive relevant experience; or16 years total experience in lieu of a degree.
• Military experience in the portfolio area is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Develop growth strategies to increase orders and captures.
• Build and maintain customer relationships to drive new opportunities.
• Lead full lifecycle capture activities from identification to contract award.
• Leverage DoW and Navy pathways (DIU, NRCO) to accelerate growth.
• Present opportunities, updates, and business cases to senior leadership.
• Conduct market intelligence and competitive assessments to inform strategy.
• Develop accurate forecasts across key customers and portfolios.
• Analyze stakeholder networks to improve capture effectiveness.
