Job summary

Performance Contracting Group in Lenexa, KS seeks a Senior Business Development Specialist to support business development, estimating, operations, and finance by driving organization, visibility, and consistency across customer engagement, opportunity tracking, JV pursuits, and proposal support.

This execution-focused role requires strong attention to detail, follow-through, and clear communication, with a salary range of $83,100-$111,000 and a non-guaranteed annual bonus program.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience and/or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in marketing, business development, event coordination, communications, or a related discipline preferred.
• Ability to support business development initiatives through event planning, relationship management, and brand awareness activities.
• Experience creating and editing professional proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and event logistics simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer-facing events including lunches, breakfasts, relationship-building meetings, and other networking activities by managing all logistics, reservations, scheduling, confirmations, and communications.
• Ensure internal team members are prepared for customer engagements and accountable for attendance, meeting objectives, and follow-up actions.
• Maintain and manage the Opportunities module in partnership with the estimating team, ensuring opportunity data remains accurate and actionable for leadership reporting.
• Support proposal development efforts through content creation, writing, editing, formatting, and presentation preparation.
• Develop professional slide decks and presentation materials for scope reviews, customer interviews, and business development meetings.
• Attend industry events and assist in identifying networking, business development, and market opportunities relevant to company growth objectives.
• Track event participation and potential business opportunities generated through industry involvement and customer engagement activities.
