Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a seasoned Business Continuity Manager in Montgomery, AL to lead enterprise-wide BC, COOP, and DR programs. You will coordinate recovery efforts across IT, vendors, and contractors, and develop robust continuity plans to ensure resilience of Medicaid-related services.

You will conduct risk assessments, lead simulations, and oversee vendor recovery strategies while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, or Crisis Management.
• Strong knowledge of COOP methodologies and DR frameworks (NIST, FEMA, ISO 22301).
• Proven experience conducting BIAs, risk assessments, and continuity planning for mid-to-large organizations.
• Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and backup/recovery technologies.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity threats, incident response, and compliance standards like HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001.
• Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Emergency Management, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, testing, and maintenance of enterprise-wide BC/COOP/DR programs.
• Coordinate recovery efforts across internal teams, IT partners, vendors, and contractors.
• Develop robust continuity plans and conduct risk assessments to validate readiness.
• Lead simulations and exercises to test readiness and response capabilities.
• Oversee vendor recovery strategies and contracts, ensuring alignment with standards.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001 and other applicable requirements.
• Provide training to multiple business units to foster a prepared and resilient organization.
